This Sunday instead of planning a big day in the saddle, I decided to make for a cruisy run straight out to the Drop Zone and leave that for the next ride instead.
There were two options I toyed with, one was to head out on the freeway to Hahndorf, Birdwood, Gawler, Two Wells and then Lower Light...or...Adelaide to Gawler, Two Wells and then Lower Light but I wasn't convinced either option would be too enjoyable.
The traffic and the lights up Main North road to Gawler would have taken all the fun out of the ride, and the other option would have made for a long start to the day before arriving to conduct the AGM & BBQ.
This way we can casually head out and give a little more to the business of SDC.
We'll be stopping at the Caltex servo in Bolivar for a brew, so if you're in the northern suburbs and prefer to meet up there just let me know.
Otherwise for all others, we'll be meeting at the BP on the corners of South & Henley Beach road, Mile End.
It'll be a 1015 arrival for a 1030 departure and we'll be stopping in Bolivar around 1115 and departing again at 1130. The ride from Mile End to Bolivar won't be exactly direct, I'll ensure we get the most of the journey out.
