About Us

The Patriots are a social motorcycle club for regular, reserve and ex-serving members of the defence force (Army, Navy and Air Force) Patriots Australia has been around since 1993 and were established because at one time or another, most of us would have liked to join an established club, but found that due to constant postings, this became difficult to achieve.   The Club is a motorcycle enthusiasts club -NOT a 1% or outlaw club.   We do not associate with outlaw clubs and we do not engage in outlaw club activities.

The club has grown to the stage now, that we have a chapter or sub-chapter in each state of Australia and in New Zealand. We also have Patriot friends in the United Kingdom and USA who also provide the same welcome to members worldwide.

We do not wear back patches, but we do have a breastplate which we wear proudly on the left breast of our riding vests.   The Breastplate denotes our dedication to the principles of freedom and democracy and remembers those who have fought and are still fighting for our country.

Patriots Australia does not discriminate against race, gender or religion.   We abide by the principles of the 'Fair Go' policy implemented by the Australian Defence Force.  We do however insist that motorcycles have an engine capacity greater than 250cc.  Trail bikes and scooters are unsuitable and will not be accepted into the club.

The Southern District Chapter (SA) is a 'nomad' style chapter, in that we do not have a clubhouse or a specific geographical location.  We have a dedicated chapter ride each month, with other rides and activities organised as required by the members.   Chapter meetings are held at various venues each month.
